1. Statutory Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer purchasing from Maison Vesaro online, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason.

The statutory withdrawal period is generally 14 days.

For products, the withdrawal period begins on the day after the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, receives the product.

Where an order consists of multiple products delivered separately, the applicable period generally begins after receipt of the last product.

This statutory right also applies to discounted, promotional and sale products unless a specific statutory exception applies.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes mandatory consumer rights.

2. How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

You may exercise your right of withdrawal through the online withdrawal function provided on our website, where applicable.

You may also exercise your right of withdrawal by clearly informing us of your decision, for example by email.

You do not have to provide a reason for exercising the statutory right of withdrawal.

A withdrawal notification is considered timely when it is sent before the expiry of the applicable withdrawal period.

3. Returning the Product

After exercising the right of withdrawal, the customer must return the product without undue delay and, in any event, generally within 14 days after notifying Maison Vesaro of the withdrawal.

The customer is responsible for properly packaging the product so that it can be returned without unnecessary damage.

We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and retaining proof of postage.

Maison Vesaro is not responsible for a return shipment that is lost or damaged while being returned by the customer, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

The customer should retain the shipping receipt until the return has been processed.

4. Return Address

Returns must be sent to the return address communicated by Maison Vesaro for the relevant order or return.

Maison Vesaro may change its operational return address from time to time.

Customers should therefore not rely solely on an address previously used for another order and should request or verify the applicable return instructions before sending a return where necessary.

5. Condition of Returned Products

Customers have the right to examine and try on products to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, as they would normally be able to do in a physical store.

For clothing, this generally means that the customer may inspect and try on the garment.

The customer must not use, wear, wash, alter, damage, stain, perfume or otherwise handle the product beyond what is reasonably necessary to assess it.

Products should preferably be returned:

unworn beyond reasonable fitting or inspection;
unwashed;
unstained;
undamaged;
with original labels and tags attached where applicable;
with accessories and accompanying items where applicable;
in suitable protective packaging.

6. Diminished Value

If the customer handles a product beyond what is necessary to determine its nature, characteristics and functioning, the customer may be liable for the resulting diminished value.

Examples may include, depending on the circumstances:

wearing the garment for an extended period;
washing the garment;
removing or damaging labels where this prevents normal resale;
staining the garment;
exposing the garment to smoke, perfume or other strong odours;
damaging the garment;
modifying or altering the garment;
returning the garment in a condition that materially reduces its resale value.

Any deduction will be limited to the actual diminished value and will be applied only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

The statutory right of withdrawal itself is not affected.

7. Hygiene and Product-Specific Exceptions

Certain products may be subject to statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal where applicable by law, including certain sealed products that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene once the seal has been broken.

Where such an exception applies, Maison Vesaro will provide the required information before purchase.

Maison Vesaro will not rely on a hygiene exception merely because a normal item of clothing has been tried on.

8. Return Shipping Costs

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning a product after exercising the right of withdrawal.

Maison Vesaro will not charge the customer a separate processing or restocking fee for a statutory withdrawal.

9. Refunds

When a valid withdrawal is exercised, Maison Vesaro will refund the amounts that must legally be reimbursed.

This generally includes the purchase price and the cost of the cheapest standard delivery option offered by Maison Vesaro for the original order.

If the customer selected a more expensive delivery method, Maison Vesaro is not required to reimburse the additional amount attributable to that more expensive method, to the extent permitted by law.

Maison Vesaro will generally issue the refund using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed with the customer.

10. Timing of Refund

Maison Vesaro will process the refund within the legally applicable period following withdrawal.

Where permitted by law, Maison Vesaro may wait with reimbursement until:

the returned goods have been received; or
the customer provides sufficient evidence that the goods have been returned,

whichever occurs first.

11. Partial Returns

If a customer returns only part of an order, Maison Vesaro is not required to refund the original delivery charge where applicable law does not require such reimbursement.

For example, where a customer purchases several products and returns only one product, the original delivery charge generally does not need to be reimbursed solely because one product was returned.

12. Sale and Promotional Items

Sale, discounted and promotional products remain subject to applicable statutory consumer rights.

Maison Vesaro may offer additional voluntary return or exchange conditions, but such voluntary conditions do not replace or restrict mandatory statutory rights.

13. Exchanges

Maison Vesaro may offer exchanges as a voluntary service.

An exchange is not a substitute for statutory rights.

If a requested replacement is unavailable, Maison Vesaro may provide the legally applicable alternative.

14. Defective, Incorrect or Non-Conforming Products

If you believe that a product is defective, damaged upon arrival, incorrect or does not conform to the agreement, contact:

Please provide:

your order number;
a description of the issue;
photographs where reasonably relevant;
any other information reasonably required to assess the complaint.

Maison Vesaro may request photographs or other information before determining the appropriate solution.

Mandatory statutory rights concerning conformity and defects remain unaffected.

15. Incorrect Returns

If a customer sends Maison Vesaro an item that was not purchased from Maison Vesaro, Maison Vesaro may contact the customer to arrange its return.

Maison Vesaro is not responsible for items mistakenly sent to us that were not purchased from Maison Vesaro, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

16. Fraudulent or Abusive Return Activity

Maison Vesaro reserves the right to investigate suspected fraudulent, dishonest or abusive use of its return procedures.

Examples may include:

repeated return abuse;
returning products that were not purchased from Maison Vesaro;
intentionally damaging products before return;
false claims concerning defects;
fraudulent payment activity;
misuse of promotional offers.

Maison Vesaro may take appropriate lawful measures where fraud or abuse is reasonably suspected.

Nothing in this section limits mandatory statutory consumer rights.

17. Final Assessment

Maison Vesaro reserves the right to inspect returned products before completing the final return assessment.

Where a deduction for diminished value is legally justified, Maison Vesaro may deduct the applicable amount from the refund and will provide an appropriate explanation where required.
